Our Story

With more than 10 years of combined occupational and physical therapy practice management experience behind their names, Dillen Hartley, OT, and Niel Visser, PT, finally realized their dream of starting their own outpatient therapy practice on April 1st, 2003. They opened the doors to Advanced Therapy Solutions, Inc., at 2500 Winchester Place in Spartanburg with one occupational therapist, two physical therapists and one intake coordinator.

In the very dynamic and competitive healthcare arena of Spartanburg, particularly in the physical and occupational therapy fields, ATS would need to set itself apart by embracing their core values. This included providing exceptional customer service with a patient-centered, solution-driven approach, and creating an atmosphere of respect, team work and camaraderie.

Today Advanced Therapy Solutions serves the needs of patients and referring physicians at four busy locations spread across Spartanburg and Greenville with a team of over 37 highly qualified employees. Although we have seen many changes and tremendous growth over the past ten years, our core values remain the same: a customer based, solution driven approach in a positive environment.

Dillen and Niel remain hands-on therapy practice owners, working alongside their teams on a daily basis, underscoring the mission of ATS: Come as a patient, leave as a friend.
